Music is the art of assembling sounds in certain time during the varied elements of harmony, melody, pitch, tonality, and rhythm. It is also one of the universally accepted cultural aspects of human cultures. Generally, broad definitions of music comprise common elements like harmony, pitch, rhythm, dynamic, and the tonal qualities of texture and timbre. However, within these broad definitions, music can be further divided into many, more specific categories that differ widely from cultural to cultural. In this article, we'll discuss three broad categories of music: classical, jazz, and hip hop.
Classical Music, which includes such masterpieces as Handel's "Falling in Love With the Dream" or Beethoven's " Eisen unbeknown"; as well as the works of Mozart and Haydn. Examples of Classical Music include: "Four Seasons", "Water Music", " Invention", " Carmen", "Claudacla", and "Equinox". Examples of jazz styles include: Jazz, ragtime, Blue Notes, Latin jazz, Afro-Cuban jazz, rock 'n' roll, European jazz, New Orleans jazz, Brazilian jazz, Latin pop music, postbop, and other rhythmic beats. Hip hop artists popularized instruments such as the electric guitar and the drum set.
Hip hop, otherwise known as street music, is influenced by the same composers and musical themes as classical music. A notable example of a hip hop song is Ice Cube's "Escape" from the Fatboy Slim album. Hip hop music also includes underground culture, popular music from the 1970s and afterwards, and urban legends and graffiti. For instance, a famous refrain from the Fugees' song "Basket Of Roses" is: "This is what I'm afraid of / this is what I do." The Music in this song was influenced by the Black American slaves that came to be known as Fortunate Islands.
Country music often utilizes simple rhythmic tones and harmonies. The most prominent characteristic of country music often has to do with pitch and tempo. For instance, "Deckroy's Baby" from Johnny Cash makes use of the minor pentatonic scale. Country music often has a distinctive rhythm that differs from other forms of music often associated with it. The most common rhythmic sound in country music is the "twang" which often originates from the steel guitar and harmonizes with the bass notes.
Classic Rock includes mainly songs that were recorded in the 1940s and includes a number of rock 'n' roll classics. Most notable among these is rock 'n' roll, which has influenced many artists, including Elvis. The most notable musical instruments often used in classic rock are: the Fender Stratocaster, the Gibson Flying V, and the Yamaha acoustic guitar. Classic rock songs often utilize the same rhythmic sound signature that goes along with rhythm and pitch change source.
Classic Rock also uses a diverse range of musical instruments. Lead guitarists commonly use the nylon stringed electric guitar, which contains a treble and bass clef made up of identical notes. Rhythm guitarists use the steel strings, which contain two alternating notes. A variety of other musical instruments make up the sound of classic rock including: the Telecaster, the Squier Streettone, the Mesa Boomerang, and the tremolo.
